Congratulations! This is a great start. However, remember that grant money is really competitive and funders want to see how your programs are serving the community. It’s time to focus on showing the impact of your work including creating an annual report and working on your fundraising and evaluation plans.
as you start approaching funders, make sure you Use our Pre-Grant Checklist to keep all the documents you need up to date and ready to share.

Watch this video on “Year 1 as a founder: What to do next?.” We created this workshop to explore what do you need to have in place once you reach the one-year mark and different tips and resources to get you on track.
Start working on your evaluation plan. An evaluation plan is a road map for your impact evaluation efforts. It will help you get clear on how you can measure the impact of your work, including defining your impact metrics, the technology tools you will need (a CRM!), and the people you need to involve in the process. If you need help, send us an email.
Check out our Nonprofit Incubator Program. Our program is designed to help activists and nonprofit founders understand how to grow an organization and navigate the world of nonprofits. During the 6-weeks of the program, we’ll teach you how to run scalable nonprofits that make a difference. Workshop topics include strategic planning, board development, fundraising, marketing and branding, and more. Check out our next cohort. Participating organizations are eligible to apply for our seed funding grant to help new organizations get off the ground.
