At this stage, we recommend you focus on diversifying your funding sources, making sure you have a comprehensive plan for fundraising, and are working to maintain relationships with funders through good stewardship practices.
Be sure to review our Pre-Grant Checklist to make sure all your grant documents are up to date.
Additional resources for your organization:
Make sure you have an up-to-date Development Plan. A development plan is a road map for your fundraising efforts. Remember that grants are not the only source of funding your organization needs to focus on. In fact, grants are seen as one of the least stable funding sources. Make sure you are starting to explore alternative sources of funding like corporate sponsors or recurring donor campaigns. If you need help expanding your plan beyond grants send us an email.
Involve your board in your fundraising efforts! Your board needs to understand its fundraising responsibilities and work to help your nonprofit achieve its goals. Check out our upcoming Nonprofit Management School for our Board Bootcamp, a comprehensive self-paced course on working with board members.
